Question on purchasing order

The Locust

i want the new smaller streams for my 75G all glass RR tank but i want the controllable version so i can have one on either side. alternatly pulsing on and off. i have 2 MJ1200s on one side right now and a reef tec pe-1 on the other, plus a 800Gph return in the middle. but i hate the reliability of the reeftecs, it locks up every week and i missed it once when it locked up and i woke up to an RTN,d acro from the lack of flow. so im looking to go with the tunze canuse i love the reliability.
any way back to my question i want to buy the 7094 controller right now. will i be able to buy the 2 streams later or should i wait and buy the 7094 with the streams. is there a benifit to buying them in a package or will it be alright if i buy them seperatly.
BTW will 2 of the smallest controllable strams be to much or will they be ok? should i just go with on on the controller?

If you alternate between the 2 6000 units you will be fine, in my test 58 we have one aimed from right rear corner to left front corner with no problems pulsing between high and low flow- 1850-650gph. Placement of rocks and coral were critical though to accomplish this but in a 75 I think it will work great. In a 58 you need to put SPS near the pump and LPS at the far end and preferably slightly shelterd by live rock. If the pump stops an alarm notifies you of this immediately, it is high pitched and about 75db so unless you are dead you will not have any acro problems from a stopped pump. Our pumps are magnetic drive, i.e. they have a magnet assembly just like a maxi jet or any other submersible pump, this can become fouled with calcium and is usually what would stop the pump and cleaning it is all you need to do. I would dissassemble and clean the pump every 3 months.
