Essentially, the SSS has the same body as the classic - just with added features and a working DC pump. This body has been around and proven its worth over the last several years. The end-users I asked for input all said that the body is perfect, wouldn't change a thing.
The pump is where the biggest change has come. Comparatively, on the last series of DC pumps, we were receiving constant feedback about the poor performance, the noise, the interface... This series of DC (the white ones) hasn't had any of that yet. To quote one user "It seems like they finally produced the DC pump we've been promised for years. This thing is running like a champ."
This latest round of DC pumps has only been around for the past year, so there aren't any truly long-term reports on it, but so far it seems to be the answer to the DC problem.
