Question on Tunze 5016 auto top off

Hey I just got the auto top off. It did not come with any directions. Can someone point me where I can get the directions online or tell me how to set it up? I figured that the upper float switch is a safety but its not working like that. Can you also tell me wich float is which? Maybe they are reversed? Any help will be much appricated. Thanks in advance.

5016? With two floats? That hasn't been made in 3 years. I can provide a manual but could you please clarify what model you have.

Yes, its the 5016 with 2 floats I know its an older model but it still works perfect. I just cant figure out how to set it up. Thanks for any help. A manual that I can print woudl be great.

PM me an address and later tonight or tomorrow I will get a PDF of the manual to you. One float should have a blue dot on the underside and the magnet should be inverted. This is the secondary float the other float should be the other way and act as the primary. It is still possible to get parts for these but we discontinued this model because it had three flaws. The pump could starve the circuit board when it was going bad and cause an error. The floats tend to fail over time and the socket corrode easily. It works OK but periodically check the floats for funtion and make sure you aren't relying on the secondary. Don't use the pump for kalkwasser and keep up with it. Never let water get on the plugs or sockets- we now hardwire everything because of our past experience with sockets.

Thanks. Yea I got the Unit in a trade. Its only for fresh topoff and I have the Tunze 7 gallon topoff bucket and a 55 gallon sump so worse case senario is that all 7 gallons gets dumped in and my SG goes off a little. I wont have a flood. . Please send the pdf when you get a chance. Thanks for the info. if this unit fails I will be ordering the unit with the laser eye. Thanks again
