Question on Water flow

I have a 54 gallon corner aquarium. I use 1 Maxi-Jet 1200 to agitate the surface and 1 HYDOR KORALIA 4 pointed directly at my Live Rock. Would this be the correct way or is there a better way?

It depends what kind of corals your gonna want to keep. For some corals a PH pointing right at them is too much flow. I have 3 PHs in my 29 gallon. One maxijet 900 pointing behing my LR to keep it clean back there. I have 2 maxijet 1200s, one in each corner pointing towards the middle front. The flows colide there and then go over my LR etc.

I like to use my overflows and returns for surface agitation, then use my powerheads for the inner tank flow. If you aren't running a sump, then what you are doing sounds fine.

I am using a Kor3 and a the return from my canister to create a current in my 55 bf. There is always particulates flowing through the tank in the current. Is that something that should be avoiding or is a little bit ok?

Are you using any kind of mechanical filtration to remove the particulates from the water column?
