Question: Small creatures

So I already asked this, and one person was nice enough to help, but I'm afraid I'm still curious.

I don't have a digital camera, so I'm not going to be able to present pics, sorry. :(

There are little creepy crawling things that creepeth upon the earth, err, tank. I mean they are EVERYWHERE. On the sand, walls and a bit on rock.

I have a 6 snails (two narrassius, two turbo, two cerith(?)) and a cleaner shrimp. Everything looks healthy and nitrites are the only thing out of whack, a bit high if you ask me. Tank is still a bit young so maybe I jumped on the cleanup crew before the cycle was over.

What are they? Some of them look like flat shaped like the goldfish crackers shape (seriously) and others just look like tiny little translucent fellas that run around the sand. I'm paranoid.

I've already stepped through melev's website where he ID's everything under the sea, but I didn't see my critters in there.

I thought they might be brine shrimp, but I thought brineshrimp swam around rather than ran around.

Any ideas would be helpful.

yeah i agree with Sharpy i mean the only way you can really find out though is to find a picture with one or take one sorry.

I have many critters like that in my crushed coral. In fact at night I can see critters crawling on the live rock. Can't seem in the daylight. I think they are all good. You may eventually see some bristle worms and stuff as well. Those are good too.

Regards,

Pat

How exactly do you zoom in on something so small without an uber expensive SLR?

See if your camera has a "Macro" setting...this should help with photographing smaller things, but I doubt you will be able to get a good picture of a pod though....

I have some about the size of a small ant down to ones that look like nothing more than a speck...if you look real close at night you might see a small swarm of specks all swimming around each other like a swarm of bees would....
