Questions about moving my AquaPod 12

I just recently purchased a 12 gallon aquapod and have had it set up in my college dorm room for about 2 months. I am moving back home for summer break (4 months long) in 1 week and have some questions. My first question is what way would be best to move my size tank? It is not very large so I was wondering if I could just remove all the water and rock and keep the substrate in the tank, then carry it to my car. The trip back home would be about 6 hours. I only have inverts (snails, 2 feather dusters, 2 shrimp, and crabs) as of now and was wonder what the best way would be for transporting them. Would putting the inverts in a rubbermaid container w/the tank water along with the rock work? Also would I need any type of circulation or air stones? Would agitating the water by hand every half hour or so be beneficial? The ride is not that long but I do not know what to expect. Thanks in advance.

i would get a few 5 gallon buckets, put the lids on them, but make one rock, one water, one live stuff. in the live one put an airstone, that should move water enough and give fresh air. this isnt really necessary, they live in bags on planes for over 6 hours, but its a godo idea in case, but that will only work if your car has plugs (not many do)

No, my car does not have any outlets if that is what you mean. I would rather not spend money on a battery operated one if I do not have too, but I can if need be. Would agitating the water by hand not provide enough oxygen and water movement? It is a 6 hour trip but I will not be driving so I will be able to focus on the tank.

water in buckets would be the best way, I dont think you need to supply them with an airstone seeing that it's just that short of a trip, but you can always add them for added comfort of the animals.

OK, I think I am going to go buy some buckets. So do you guys think that I can reuse the water in the buckets to fill the tank or should I do a complete water change?
