So i have recently become serious about my reef tank. Ive had a 125 gallon fowlr tank for the past 10 years. and ive had a couple nanos that were disasterous! this was because i wasnt very well informed. my current tank is doing well. its a 24 gallon jbj nano cube that ive modified. taken the top off and added led lighting, added a sum refugium, and a protein skimmer. ive got 2 korellias to increase circulation in the tank i think they are the 420gph. im not home so not positive. but heres the question. it looks like everyone seems to have mp10/mp40's in their tanks. what is so special about them? im always looking for ways to better my knowledge and my tank. thank you in advance.

A few things: the motor is on the outside of the tank so that you have less heat inside the tank for better temperature regulation, the flow is amazing, there are different settings so that you can simulate reef crests and different flow patterns and they also have a wireless feature that allows you to program them so that they work together to create a wave simulation. They are pretty cool. I have 2 MP40s on my 300g

wow! well that sounds better than what ive got. Are there any peeps selling any mp-10s that i could get? i would like to see how they would work in my 24G. i like the idea of the wave motion.

I have 5 Vortech MP pumps and I obviously like them. I will add that they are quiet, low maintenance, easy to control, several wave/flow options, very powerful AND cool looking! I have always hated having cords hanging from an aquarium and it seems that 80% of the electricity leaks in aquariums come from these inside pumps.
IMO, the MP pumps are one of the best things to hit the aquarium trade in 20 years!

These pumps are pricey but when you figure how many of the cheaper pumps you need to get the same performance plus a controller..... its well worth the money foe these pumps.
and thank you :)
