questions about ordering

I am wanting to order fish from your website in the near future, as I am cycling my new reef tank now. My LFS has limited choices and offers no guarantees. They "advise" me not to order online as the process of returning fish, if arriving dead, is more costly in the long run. What are your proceedures if a fish arrives dead or dies within the guarantee period?

dlsmith21,

Congratulations on starting a new reef tank! We hope you enjoy your new hobby for many years. We thank you for considering Live Aquaria and Drs. Foster and Smith for all your aquatic needs.

We understand your fears about placing your first live goods order on line. In using quality packaging, overnight shipping, and offering our Arrive Alive, Stay Alive® Guarantee, that is 100% risk-free to our customers, we hope to alleviate your concerns.

If your fish, coral, plant, or invertebrate doesn't arrive alive and stay alive for 14 days, we'll credit your account or refund your money. There are never any costs or processing fees involved in receiving your credit for loss of any specimens.

I have been ordering from the Drs. for years and any fish that haven't made it, I make a phone call or email and have been credited for the loss. They have the best guarantee out there and all the fish I have recieved have been in great condition with great color. I have no lfs to buy from where I live so all my ordering is done online and this is by far the best company to deal with. I'll be ordering some more fish as soon as it warms up a bit here.
