Questions on Gobies.

Hello everyone! I recently had my 4 year-old Snowflake Moray Eel jump from his tank while I was out of the house and hours later, he had suffocated and died :(. The eel was sharing his network of caves with a Coral-Banded Shrimp, it's surprising, he never tried to eat her. So today I went out and purchased two mature Engineer Gobies, a Cleaner Shrimp, and a Emperor Angel. I know gobies love to tunnel but I just can't seem to get mine to go for the rocks, they seem much happier swimming around! The rocks are cave-like and the tank is about 3 inches of sand, am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be really helpful! Thanks.

yeah relax. If you just put them in give them a couple of days to relax and kinda feel the tank out. They should take to their nature soon enough.

Thanks alot, actually, one went for one of the caves when I left the room and the other is still swimming around but I'll figure he'll do the same. Thanks again!

No, I don't usually quarantine fish from my fish store, they really are phenomenal with both there freshwater and saltwater care, the staff are amazing with answering questions. They're a local store, not one of those big chains like Petco or Petsmart.
