Questions on Ich

I don't understand why my Aqua C Remora Pro is putting out just as much skimmate now at 1.009sg on my QT as it does when it's not under hypo at 1.025.

Thats odd. Hypo is low enough salinity that reduced skimming efficiency would be the norm.

Hello Dex, any update? How is the treatment coming along?

I am thinking about doing hypo on my fowlr also because my angels have ich as well.

thanks,
Steven

all my angels & tangs are doing fine, smaller fish didnt seem to tolerate:

Fire Fish
Black Cap Basslet
5 Green Chromis (Chromis dse)

Im going on my 2-3 weeks, keept my salinity at 1.009 Ph at 8.1 & my temp I raised to 82.5 degrees. I have done water changes every 4 days & added AmQuel for the Amonia/nitrite spikes.

Steve,
That was directed towards Ikea boy
He buys and sells more equipment then the amount of underwear changes.
(I have his 40w Aqua UV w/wiper :) )

thanks Bill.
is there a draw back or disadvantage of extending the recommended length on doing hypo-salinity?

Within reason, no. In other words you can get away with extending it a few weeks or so with no draw backs, however, much longer than that (i.e. several monhts) could start leading to problems. It's strictly a short term treatment.
