Questions on Pom Pom Crabs

I was just thinking about getting a few of these but had a few questions first. I have a 46 gallon tank.

I think they would be compatible with my inhabitants, but just to double check, are they compatible with the following?

1. 2 Urocaridella Anemone Shrimp
2. 1 Anemone Shrimp
3. 2 Sexy Anemone Shrimp
4. 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
5. 1 Coral Banded Shrimp
6. 1 Harlequin Shrimp (It may have died, but I'm still going to have one)
7. Emerald Crabs
-I don't think there should be a problem since I have tiny shrimp that have survived this long, but if there is a problem with keeping pom pom's with these please let me know.

2nd question. What will these eat? will they feed off of the leftovers of my fish?

Will they stay visible in a 46 gallon tank or hide alot?

Can they be kept in groups of 4 or more? or just two?

thanks, all replies are appreciated.

No problem with 1- 4. Number 5 is not reef safe imo. Number 6 would be fine but you need to feed it starfish (nothing else will do)). Emerald crab should be fine but go with the view that anything with claws should never be trusted.

As for what they eat - just a good part of your CUC

They do not prance around like dodgy cheerleaders - they will go to ground and you probably wont see them

Numbers not a clue - but I've not found them agressive

You must be mistaken, thats the list of inverts I already have. I alreay know that harlequins will only eat starfish. And I'm pretty sure Coral Banded Shrimp are reef safe since its been in my reef tank for quite some time now, and I dont think it'll harm them since I have small shrimp in there with it.

Anway, I read that the crab's anemonies can sting corals. Would they do much damage to corals they touch or anemonies?

Thanks

Alot of people don't consider CBS to be reef safe due to how aggressive they are. CBS have a tendency to go after fish, especially those that perch (Hawkfish, Blennies, etc.) and like to eat other inverts as well. Before I got rid of mine, I watched it try to eat my Starry Blenny. Needless to say, the CBS wasn't in my tank the next day.

Really? I never knew they were that dangerous. Mine certainly isn't. It will chase after fish and my shrimp but has never succeeded in catching them. So I'll consider it safe with these crabs since it hasn't harmed my defensless sexy shrimp.

But is there any info on how bad their anemonies can sting corlas they come in contanct with?

thanks

I've had pom poms with Urocaridella Shrimp, Periclimenes Anemone Shrimp, Sexy Shrimp, Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, Orange Coral Banded Shrimp with no problems.

my cbs ate two of my hermits and my peppermint shrimp got him out n replaced with a cleaner so much happier!
