questions on two corals...

Here are a few questions:
I've been looking at my frogspawn , and realized that its not the usual single color type some of the stalks have neon green tips and some have a siverish white pink hue to themÃ"šÃ‚¡K
Hoe common is this (2 have two colors on one frogspawn?).

This sps I have had for quite a while and so far I haven't gotten a definite (or close) ID. I posted it once before when it was smaller and it was difficult to id...How about now? Any ideas?

Sorry about the fancy Photoshop, but I was kinda bored tonight :)
Let me know if a better close up would help, I can always pull out the tripod.

The branching frogspawns do come in 2 colors, not sure why that happens, but I've had one and seen a few. Don't know about the SPS though.

No questions about wether they come in two tone since, hey I have one sitting in my tank :) It's more of a question how common they are in the hobby. also are some colors more prevalent in some reef areas than others? (and I'd ask why, but I may have to wait for the Marine Biologists to wake up since it is 3:12 am....)

Well, I guess I need to be more direct then. They're fairly common, it's only a matter of paying attention to them or not when you're shopping for corals.

cool, no need for indirectness here, only straight answers, :)
So basically you haven't just seen a few, more like a lot, correct?
One could easily misconstrue your original answer and figure that they have something special, which in this instance is not the case. either way, enjoy the picture :)
BTW, that's a mighty fine xenia bush you have there ;)
Thanks

well IMO there slightly less as common as the solid colored ones. Ive read on a few boards how people were specifically looking for these but at the time were hard pressed to find one. Not that there not out there or you have to pay a good chunk of cheese to get one, just slightly harder to come by.

I agree with Justin. I know only 2 people who have it and you are one of the two. I go to FS pretty often and I don't see it. I'd love to get several heads of that.

As always..Very nice pics Alex.. :)

I remember a few years ago when I was on Reefs.org there was someone who posted a pic of their huge frogspawn and I believe that one has about 3 or 4 colors, it looked photoshoped but the guy swore it was real. I tried to find it but it has been way too long. Ours changes color (but that's when it starts to bleach because parts of it is living in the shadows of itself)

alex, i think your second pic looks like my A. solitaryensis. tan base with brown polyps, purple tips with white polyps. maybe still too early to tell but that would be my guess.
sorry for the poor quality pics.

I really like the tabling look of the second onem that would be great if it did something like that. mine is a slow grower, surely from being about half way up in a PC set up. I wish I could find a better picture of a like colony.
