Questions regarding two new lps

Ok, tank is a little over a month old. Dosing Kalk with ATO. Light is a Kessil a360we.

Green bubble seems to be getting brown on bubbles not on base.

One head of my branching hammer is receding from outside in and has its mouth pretty open.

Ph - 8, but has been closer to 7.7 the last few days.

Kh - 10

Calcium-450

Mag?

Going get lugols and Red Sea mag pro test kit now. Need help! Thanks!

They look like they're in an area of too much light. Also how's the flow there? All Euphyllia need low flow and low-med light.

Yes need to test Mg and also Phosphates and Nitrates.

Have my Kessil set at only 25% and low flow, the rest of hammer for sure is doing absolutely perfect.

Ok, did a 20 minute lugols dip on the hammer.

Purchased a Red Sea coral pro kit.

Magnesium - 1500
Kh - 8.7
Calcium - 470
Current PH - 8.07 (up from 7.68 this morning after adding 1 1/2tsp Kalk to 3G ATO

Conductivity 34.7

Also, dropped lights to 20%

It looks like the skeleton is poking thru the tissue. Maybe it's getting too strong of flow as someone mentioned or something is bugging it.

I would move it into an area of even lower flow than its in currently and let it heal. I wouldn't think it's a goner. Have had acans skeletons ripping thru their flesh and they come back if left in areas of really low flow and undisturbed.

Sorry to say but those aren't absolutely perfect! They have too much flow, now that you've eliminated the light possibility. They should have much longer flowing tentacles if both light and flow are good.

oo much flow can bother euphyllias, although torch can handle a bit stronger flow.

Nitrates won't harm them, mine was in a dirty tank and they've been going well. IMHO a bit of nitrates and phosphates isn't bad for lps.

Thanks guys, the bubble has been doing great as well as the hammer, with the exception of the one head. It's pretty much a goner, just kinda floating around off of the skeleton. Just waiting for it to come off then I'll scoop with net...

I am not sure how I could possibly put any lower flow in the tank. The return pump is turned down 50% and mp10 is off.

Thanks, I moved them and I see how it supposed to be lol. It looked great at first, now it looks better. Sadly I am probably the reason the one head died. Maybe by some stroke of luck it will come back. It is in close to no flow, and still has some tissue attached.

Big difference huh. I see way too many people that have them look like yours did and well when they see mine they understand then. Here is a link to my build, lots of pictures there and I am hopping to get around to posting up a lot more today or tomorrow. Just depends on how the day goes.

Let me know what you think and I'm always open to suggestions on how to make it better. I've got lots of extra rock in my sump and have been wanting to change some of the rock work up a bit.
