J jreimer New member Jun 11, 2006 #2 Genus ID Genus ID That's a Zoanthus for sure. No sand being taken up in the tissue, and classic Zoanthus colors too. I am not too sure on the pruning question...but hopefully someone else will have an answer. j.

Mr. Ugly New member Jun 11, 2006 #3 Cut between the polyps with a razor blade or very sharp knife. Then cut under the polyps taking part of the rock with them to free the zoas.
