Quick Coral Id?

I got a free frag a couple weeks ago at a reef show, and I have no idea what part of it is. I know what the Zoas are, but what is the purple cauliflower looking stuff?

Probably some kind of leather, colt or kenya. Probably had a large one there, they cut it off and this is growing from the stump of flesh left behind.

Hard to tell though.

This was my guess too... I will just let it grow out in QT and see what it turns into. My nephew really likes it so I will probably have to frag it for him anyway

This is a very good guess.... definitely probably not harmful.
