Quick ? for the breeders.

I have a pair that have finally come to the conclusion that they don't like each other. The female is just badgering the male (bought as a juvie from lfs via ora) endlessly. I have to seperate them they have been together for about 2 months. I want to introduce the female to a new larger male(from a spawning pair). The female can no longer change to a male and the new male is larger will this work?

Possibly...however 2 months isn't much time. I have a pair that didn't start breeding for almost a year and a half.

What type of clowns?

Had mine for 5 yrs before they started. now they dont stop!

I didn't seperate because they weren't breeding. I seperated them because I thought the female was going to kill him. She kept him pinned in the upper corner, if he so much as moved she would nail him. I let it go for a while but
had to remove him.

Before I try another pairing I just need to know if a known male can be larger than a known female.

As for the type of clowns they are both a. percula. An ORA male picasso and Doni's snowcasso(female). I now would like to try Doni's snowcasso with a c-quest onyx breeding male which is larger than her.

i wouldn't do it, theres a good chance you will lose your snowcasso. just keep feeding it and it will grow. cquest have onyx available everyday so they will be there.

are you certen your snow is a female? perc's mature more slowly and it wouldn't surprise me any if it were less than 2 years old and not be a female yet.
