quick help, please

I was doing some routine maintenance to my sump and I knocked my grow light fixture in to the water.

Hear a little sizzle then the gfi outlet popped as well as the breaker. I was able to pull the fixture out of the water. Restored power and all is back on and fine.

Heres the question, how do I know if there is electricity flowing through the water right now?

What do I do?

I'm not an electrician, but if the bulb isn't in the water anymore, there won't be any electricity flowing through it anymore I would guess. Your question would be if there's a residual charge in the saltwater I would assume. I think you could use a voltmeter to check, but honestly I don't think there would be. If I'm wrong, somebody else will chime in. It's been a while since I took physics, electricity especially.
