Quick question about clowns and nem's together

So I have had a GBTA for about a month now, today I went into the LFS and they had a BEAUTIFUL long tentacled nem :inlove::inlove:, it is about seven inches right now and they had it listed at $25!!!!!! couldn't pass that deal up.:spin1: My question is, will the clowns that are currently hosted by the GBTA ever switch and be hosted by the long tentacled nem? Will they flock to both? Are there any concerns you have with these being in the same tank?

What kind of clowns are they? I do not reccomend mixing anemone species you can have some chemical warfare problems. How big is your tank? Do you run carbon?

55g is pretty small for 2 different anenomes, but I'm sure the clownfish won't mind. Hopefully neither neme grows too big or splits!

They may switch back and forth or choose one or the other you never know. I personally have mixed those species before and have had problems but im sure there are people that have done it with success too.

When I tried to mix nems, the gbta, which had been firmly rooted for 6 months in the same spot, started walking and went all the way across the tank, and stung the lta until it balled and started floating (during the night). Had to take the lta back.

That's good to hear. I have been just a little worried, but they seem to be doing fine, and my clownfish are wondering what the new this is but don't seem to be hosting it, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for the help everyone!!!!!

I had a lta with my rbtas in a 120 for about a year,I had no problems.I sold the lta because my rbtas were splitting and was getting crowded.
