Quick Question about Flame Wrasse

Hello Everyone,

I am considering purchasing some Hawaiian Flame Wrasses to add to my tank. My question is as follows...is it worth the extra money to purchase a male/female pair of wrasses or could I just purchase 2 females?

If I purchase 2 females, will one eventually turn into a male? Also, would it be better to purchase 2 females or 3 females?

Thank is a moderately stocked 120 Gallon. Thanks in advance for your responses and I look forward to hearing from your experiences.

go with 3 females, one will eventually turn into a male.....also be sure that your tank is entirely covered, these guys know how to catch carpet waves..

as one would turn to female but if they are that close in size it could be a problem. both could go male or one as a sub-male and cause issue's with the one that is male, have a supermale myself and added 3 females and 2 quickly became sub-males and the harrassing started
