quick question about wiring a pc ballast to lights

i've had to recently replace my power compact ballast.

my old ballast was a jbj with a 2G11 German Pin configuration (the pins in a line) my new ballast is a sunpaq with the 10q japanese pin on the bulb (the square pins).

i would like to keep my old bulbs and use the new ballast but they are different pin configurations. can i just splice the wires together? red to red, black to black, white to white, and green to green? or are the 2g11 pin and 10q pin not compatible? or is the wiring mixed up?

any help would be appreciated.
