Quick question, what's the difference between the types of seaweed?

I was about to pick up some seaweed for my PBT, but saw that there was purple, green, and regular seaweed. What's the different? Thanks!

Good question. Following this thread. How about the asian seaweed that you buy at the asian supermarkets?
Has anyone use them?

Yes that's what I buy for my Tangs. They seem to like it and eat very well. I don't know anymore then that. I read the back of the package seem ok to me.

I read something about the color of the clip holding the seaweed affecting whether the tangs eat the seaweed. Maybe tangs would have a preference in the color of the seaweed?

Just different species. There is Red, Green, and brown comercially available from seaweed selects.

Make sure the stuff you buy at the asain market is not sweetened or has any flavor additives. ( they like to put teryaki and various other flavors on it )
