does anyone know where i can get black acrlic panels to split a 10 gal in half and make a fuge back and a display front? im trying to make this college take a all in one little 10 gal system. needs to be small footprint for the dorm room.

yea a 10 gal. is kind of small to be dividing up. why would you want to do a fuge for such a small tank?

I've seen a ten divided in half front to back with the back half being a refuge, it worked out well. I wouldn't do it as I really don't see a big benefit.

Plus I guarantee at least one of the following will end up in your tank:

1. Alcohol of any kind
2. Bong water
3. Panties
4. Shattered lava lamp goo
5. Unknown substance (could be anything)

anything under 30 gal. is alowed in the dorm rooms. and i hope to god non of that stuff would end up in my tank lol. its most likely gonna be on my desk away from all the ACTION lol.

This can easily be done, and I've seen it done with a 5.5gal. Sure fish/coral stocking will be limited, but still a neat little show piece for the dorm.

I would suggest to go away from the Front/Back split and go to a penninsula type. More room to work with if spitting within the tank (10"! After the split you're looking at the most a 4" display area vs a 14"+). There are also a lot of decent Nano-Skimmers availible to fit inside this as well. As for the black acyrlic you can get away from using it IF you wish to do a Rock Wall.
