quick question

I want to set up a 10gal and i was wondering what the best (cheapest) protien skimmer is? or where to get one?

all depends on what your will to spend. ASM mini is a great one, thats about $100 but I think it's a sump model, but if you get creative you can make it work. Remora is a hang on back kind, thats a lil more expensive tho. Corallife (CSS65) another great one for about $75. Those are prolly the top 3 off my mind. Check the selling area on here or check ebay plus google the names and places will come up that selll them. Good luck

The mini-Remora is supposed to come out soon; that might be good (at least if it follows its larger cousins) and fairly low cost. Prizms are good if you're careful about husbandry (diligent water changes, low stocking levels); more like a back-up and confidence booster than an actual filter, though (however, they make great places to put carbon). I have one on my 10, and it looks great, but I doubt the Prizm helps a lot.
