Quick Question

Im not so sure. 216 watts on 75 gallons of water does not sound so good. Everyone is going to hate me for using this formula but 5 watts per gallon is a good starting spot. Your at 2.88. Now I have not had the chance to use T-5's I hear they are hot stuff. But I would not trust any of my corals under that low wattage in such a large tank. What kind of reflectors are you going to use? If your not planning on using individual reflectors you should reconsider your lighting plan. You have to get the most out of those bulbs if your going to use so few. Also if you dont change your bulbs on a very precise schedule you could also find yourself in trouble. All in all it could work just monitor your corals very closely.

I'm running 6x54w on my 72g. My 72g is 6" taller than his 75g. I'm growing SPS at the bottom of the tank, sitting on the glass (its BB)

4x54w is MORE than enough. Frankly, theres gonna be some stuff you can't keep in the top half of the tank.

It's a Very rare event that Rich and myself agree but this is one of those times.

I bought a 4x54Wt Tek fixture, it should be here this week. Even though the tanks been up for 4 months, its been through a couple moves. I'm gonna let it settle for a couple more weeks. I'm gonna have to get my first corals online. I'm wonder what or how many I should get. These will be my first corals so I need some good beginner stuff.
