They are both pointed to the technical tab. On both of these they use these standards which you can see if you click the overview tab:

Approved AWWA B202
ANSI NSF Standard 60

The 2nd one is the one you have pointed to in the past that you use and which has the gif image showing the Food Chemical Codex chart. Both have levels listed at or below the food chart numbers with the first link showing slightly higher lead at less than 1.5 ppm and the second showing less than .5 ppm.

I found a local Mississippi Lime company distributor here in the St. Louis area (I hope I could as it's only an hour away to Ste. Genevieve where it comes from and btw is a nice tourist area to the old town if you ever get a chance) and the first one which is using a reg.name Cal-Max as well is the only one they are carrying right now. So that's what I bought at 11 bucks a bag.

Do you think this would be acceptable since it's certifications show the same but they don't put that pretty little red gif image with the one I bought? :D

The Cal-Max may be OK, but it is not a good of a grade.

It lists:
Heavy Metals Less than 30 PPM
Pb Less than 1.5 PPM
As Less than 2.9 PPM

Th FCC grade lists:
Heavy Metals 2 ppm
Lead <0.5 ppm
Arsenic <1.0 ppm

Those do fall under typical food grade standards though, at least by that analysis or am I overlooking something.

Table 1A. Food Grade Calcium Oxide Specifications
Assay CaO 95 ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ 100.5%
Loss on Ignition Less than 10%
Magnesium and Alkali Salts Less than 3.6%
Fluoride Less than 150 ppm
Lead Less than 5 ppm
Arsenic Less than 3 ppm
Acid Insoluble Substances Less than 1%
Heavy Metals Less than 30 ppm

How much do you think is precipitated by the pH of the mixture and being mixed to saturation? Should I sell off one of the two bags or throw it under my oak tree where the soil is too acidic and start over? At least I made a connection at the distributor. Talked nice and she was kind of flirty. :D They usually want to sell pallets full and the dock loader looked at the order funny I think wondering why such a small order was being filled.
