quick zoa question

Some are harider than others. Youll hear alot about people that bought a frag as a single polyp and had to baby it to get it to survive and others you just couldnt get rid of even if you starve them of light and water quality lol

IME most (if not all) polyps cannot tolerate swinging Alk and/or pH. Most all problems I have ever had with zoa's have been related to this issue.

I would imagine it will most likely cause issues with your zoa's but probably wont kill them. Zoa's can go through more than most corals without killing over, but that doesnt make it good for them and Im sure you'll see a lack of coloration as a result

And on the flip side of this, you'll obviously see stronger, healthier, happier zoas if you keep your parameters all up to par.

agreed....IME I have had zero issues with my zoa's through out all kinds of issues, moves, swings, dips, pests....and outside of the nudi problem I had everything seemed to unphase them. But when everything in the tank was stable they grew...grew....grew:dance:
