Quiet hang-on Skimmer?

Can someone give me advice on a good hang-on protein skimmer for a 40 gallon breeder tank reef I am starting up? I do not have a sump. The tank is in my bedroom and would like to know if there are any skimmers that are reliable and efficient that run relatively quiet.

AquaC Remora with some mods, is pretty quiet.
I have it in my living room, and it's not bad at all.

It's impossible to get a skimmer that is silent, it's just the nature of the beast.

Tunze 9011s are nearly totally silent and work great (but in tank not HOB)

I am thinking of the AquaC Remora or the eshopps HOB.

I have owned the NAC6, and installed a few NAC 3.5 and all of them have been silent. I hope the NAC8 will be just as nice but it does step into a larger pump.
