Quieting a Mag Drive?...

I am going to set up a Mag Drive 3 and I want to know how to keep it from rattling on the glass. Any ideas?

Alot of people use mouse pads...Not sure about in the aquarium though. Inside my sump I have used the horse mat. Its about an inch thick. they sell it at farm supply stores...one sheet should last your whole reefing career....I poked two holes in it...one on each side of the pump....then ran zip ties through the holes to hold it down.......whisper quiet....

With the mat you just cut it to size....

I used an Eheim round filter pad. Worked great.

i have a mag24 for my return and just put a piece of eggcrate under it... worked fine

i use filter pad on mine works great, just make sure to change it from time to time

most of them come with a pad when new. just peel the backing off the sticky side.

If you don't want to mess with something under it like a pad, just put dabs of silicone at each corner of the underside of the pump, then let it dry. It will have little soft feet to sit on.

Or buy those little sticky feet you can put on the backside of your cabinet doors so the wood doesn't smack together. A dab of superglue to help the sticking process wouldn't hurt you don't want one of those things coming off and getting sucked into the pump.
