quinine Sulfate

I have dosed the rec. amount once a day for 10 days with a 25 percent water change before each dose in a 55 gall QT. Fish seemed fine. I did not have signs of ich, just used it to make sure there was no ich.

QS has gotten some great reviews from some folks. Just for info; I talked to tech people at a couple of companies, who are straight -shooters and know their stuff----they don't just push their own products. Both had pretty much the same idea about QS; it works SOMETIMES. They both said that QS was very hard to keep in suspension and was impossible for a hobbyist to measure the QS level; making proper dosing "iffy" at best. IMO, its worth trying if there is no other way to cure ich, but I'm still convinced the only sure cures. either copper, hypo, or tank transfer. BTW, I hope you can find a way to solve your ich problem, you obviously made a decision made on some research; but your experience isn't surprising. This isn't a slam, just frustration over all the ich cures that come and go. BTW, I know I've suggested QS as a possible last resort for folks who won't use a QT, I won't anymore.
