Hi I was wondering if anyone has experience dosing quinine sulphate in a large aqurium with substantial amount of rocks and sand. I currently have a 300 FOWLR with about 200 lbs of live rock and sand. I have had an ongoing ich problem and have had to resort to treating the DT as the fish are entirely too large to quarantine. I have read some posts on here that it appears quinine is absorbed in the rock/sand. Any thoughts on dosing? My first run through with quinine was last week with no relief from the dreaded ich. I treated once and left in the tank for 7 days before doing a partial water change and removing the meds via carbon/skimming. Dosed as follows: 1/4 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. Treat one time and leave in the water for 7 days. ( This is the recommend dosing from nationalfishpharm.com)
