Quite possibly the best Fish/Reef Store in South Florida!

Speckled Grouper

Sticks Suck!
Tonight I had the opportunity for a sneak preview of the New Reef Life in Cooper City.....and I must say : I am thoroughly impressed. Patrick is going First Class! The store is huge! 560g display in the front, 3000g capacity for fish, a giant SPS display, an even bigger one for softies, and everything is brand new and of the highest quality. Floors and walls are very tastefully done and even though the store still lacks the main ingredients, water, fish and corals, one can tell already, he just might give all other LFS in South Florida a run for their money.......

My electrician currently has me in a holding pattern with the city of Cooper City so the stock date is still open, but it's in the Timberlake Plaza 8698 Griffin Road. Westernmost shop in the strip.

The Best???
Well maybe, If you're interested in tasteful looking floors and walls.
I personally don't care if the place was made in gold.
Higher Rent = Higher Prices!!!

Just give us good quality, low prices and good customer service.
All that THIS place has never had!!!!
Just because you change your looks, it won't change the way they do business

davebell, so sorry, but maybe women do look at the overall eye appeal of a store aswell. Not sure what your gripe about Reef Life seems to be, maybe you'd care to share?

As a business owner myself I would have to say:
Bigger store = bigger volume = bigger discounts

Why don't we wait and see when the store opens before we form premature opinions?

I have not seen the new store yet but I can't wait for it to be open, I have had nothing but good experiences with reef life, their prices are more than fair, the quality and variety of the corals are by far one of the best in the area & as far of Customer Service is concern I find Pat the owner and his staff to be very helpful, respectful and friendly.
We really should make the effort to support our local stores, bashing them online is just bad business to all of us, it affects their business and ultimately our prices, it just make no sense at all, if you have a personal problems with a store in particular you should seek resolution with the vendor; be on your best behavior!

Just give us good quality, low prices and good customer service.

Is that what everybody wants?

Good quality costs money no matter what.

Good customer service costs money. Do you want cheap people that no nothing? or experienced people that cost more?

And low prices! How do you get the money to pay for the better service and quality?

I have to say that I do not frequent LFS' very often. But Pat had a good store and good people.

So do others in the area. I myself will be there when they open and check it out.

Different LFSs appeal to different types of people. We don't all have to love them all. There are things about reef life I like and things I don't like. I am interested to see what the new store has to offer.

Hey, higher rent = higher prices... sometimes false. If he sells twice as much stuff at the same old profits, and rent is twice as much, all things else being equal his profits will remain the same. That statement was very general.

Davebell, I for one have no problem slamming someone with habitual bad service, but I never had a problem with them, and the general consensus is their quality is good, their service is good, and now their selection will be better. Don't slam someone that most people like, just relay your experiences. Who knows, maybe if you had a bad experience and brought it up to Pat, he might just take care of you. That's the impression he gives me, anyway.

Good luck, Pat, I'll be stopping in soon to check out the new place.
