I am wundering if $975 is a good price on a custom acrylic peninnsula tank. 1/2" all the way around and one 1.5" drain and 2 3/4" returns thanks. Is this average or what thanks

So now we need to wait for the acrylic experts to speak up. I just noticed you may have been missing some useful info.

Let's hear it you arcylic guru's.....

:)

I'd say that's a pretty good/decent/average price. You could get a quote from two or three LFS's and compare. I have found that they are generally competitive based on manufacturer, size, design elements (overflows, holes, etc.). Remember that there is not much mark-up on tanks/stands. The LFS's make the majority of their profits off of livestock and dry goods, not tanks.

HTH

p.s. I'm not an acrylic "expert" as my last/current three tanks are
glass, so I may stand corrected.

I have been shopping around for a 180 - I have been offered tanks for $695 at 3/8" around the sides and 1/2" tops, $900 for 1/2" all around, $2100 for the same tank from another store - moral of the story - shop around. Some places try to make a profit off the tanks, while others are just happy to sell you a place to hold their fish and corals - hoping you come back to buy the fun stuff.
