He looks healthy from the pic. Can't tell if the belly is pinched. Dod you feed seaweed? Was there an ammonia spike?

i feed him one day meat(seafood) and the next day prime reef mix flake 2 and i hang seaweed.

he was about 2.5" long and tall. his belly was unsally big(fatter) then nom. the last time i saw him(night before) he was eatting do his thing.
i had him since he was .5" maybe in that tank and know a year later he gone. no it was not do to stress.this thing eat out of your fingue tip. going to check the water today. but i shouldn't have any ammonia , i do 5g water changes weekly.

kent,
that the frogspawn i got from you. it has about five head now and two is doing that bubble thing again. i feed that thing every other day.

I had My yellow ( who was on the larger size 5+" not including her fins) die 2 days before transferring my livestock into my 220. She was healthy eating the day before. She was also in a 40g breeder along with several other fish including a powder brown tank.I am figuring her death was due to stress.,but unfortunately I had no choice but to cram all of them into the 40.

The Yellow Tang that died was in a 29 gallon reef with 250w halide lighting? What temperature was the aquarium water? What kind of water movement do you have in there?

Just because a fish is eating doesn't mean it isn't stressed. The length of a fish is no measure for how big of a tank it requires.

You'll never know why your fish died unfortunately, but I'd bet 10 to 1 if you put another tang in there it will die prematurely as well.
