R.I.P Rob Lower

For all of you that knew Rob Lower, he passed away last night in Kaui. He went down 310 ft the day prior and never fully recovered and went down to 240. He got the bends and went into seizures and passed.

He is survived by his new wife Kioko and his daughter (3).

You will be missed Rob :(
 
Oh man :( His poor family...

That's a shame, kinda proves that these deepwater fish prices are more than justified for the dangers of retrieving them.

Rest in Peace........

I am in complete shock.....terrible news. I feel horrible for the family he left behind. RIP Rob.
 
This is being reported from one of his friends on FaceBook:

"Robert was flown in from Kauai and was told he had to be in the recompression chamber because he had the bends and seizure. He stopped breathing in the chamber and they couldn't resuscitate him after an hour."
 
Wow just more reason for us to keep trying our hardest efforts to mariculture these fish. Needless good lives lost to some exotic fish for a millionaire to say yea I'm the only rich ***** in the world with this fish someone died getting for me.

Oh Rob...every time I look at the gems you got for my tank I will think of you. You will be sorely missed.
