R/O reading .001

I was making a batch of R/O, When I tested the water it read .001ppm.
I know I just changed my DI 3-4 months ago?

I'm thinking there's a typo somewhere there. 0.001ppm would imply you have a really really good meter.

Sooo... your water is basically 0 tds. Were you expecting it to be higher after 3-4 months? Just trying to understand the problem/question.

its reading 1 after its been at 0 . I been using the tds meter that included with my RO system

As your DI resin depletes, your TDS will go up. How fast will depend on your initial tap water TDS, how efficient your RO system is, and how much water you're running through it.

Is this a brand new system? If not, how long were you going between DI replacement before?

R/O reading .001

i have had it for a year. Well i just replaced the DI 4 months ago and it hasn't changed color Membranes were changed about half a year ago

Did you test the water in the container you poured water into or did you sample some in a very clean glass cup and instantly test..

TDS will rise with uncovered water as dust,etc.. in the air will settle in it and effect TDS..

A TDS reading of 1 is more than likely NOT an issue at all..
But since you asked a question please help by providing more details so we can attempt a valid answer..

What is the tds of the water going into the DI resin? Also, don't trust the color changing resin. I go months after mine changes color and I still get a 0 tds reading.

Qeustion, you said you changed the membranes 6 months ago. Do you mean the sediment and carbon filters before the RO membrane? The actual RO membrane should last several years before needing changed.

I wouldn't worry at all with water at those readings personally. As long as chlorine/chloramines don't get through, I don't fret over a couple points here and there.
