R/O Units

i want to get a R/O unit (im sick of replacing 5 gallons at a time from the supermarket) and had some questions.....

1. do they really taste like bottled water? or anything close?

2. can you guys recommend some good and CHEAP units?

Check out filterdirect on ebay, the one with the drinking water tank is the one you want. You can add the di units (get two) from their ebay store & you're set.

They do taste better than most drinking water IMO as long as you keep the carbon fresh (6-12 months replace filters)

Hi Yinger, can you use the optima series for drinking water?...

I have the same problem .. got sick of buying 10 gal every week actually I got tired lifting those 5 gal bottle.. that thing is heavyyy.. and thinking of buying ro/di system for my drinking water and my tank.
