R/O Water from Aquarium Adventure in Brooklyn

Anyone buying r/o water from this place? The reason I ask is I just bought a small amount as I was in a pinch. (usually buy from Salty Critter or Tropical Aquarium). After I did a small water change on my nano, I decided to check the r/o with my TDS meter and it read 630ppm! I though this must be a mistake so I calibrated, checked tap water (read at the usual 155) and checked the r/o again - still 600+. Ok, I thought maybe there was some salt in their water since the sell both r/o and r/o salt. I checked the salinity with refractometer and 1.000. *** - I would have been better off doing the water change with my own tap water. If any of you guys are buying r/o from them and have a TDS meter please check and see if you are getting the same readings as I am. This is bogus - especially at $1 per gallon. Sorry for the vent.

Yeah never buy anything from them. I ordered a replacment splash shield from them almost 4 weeks ago when they said it would take a week. When i called to check on it this week they go umm we dont think we can order that. So basically they have been holding my money and doing nothing. The BB will find out about them.

Hey Curt,

If you are Medina and ever get in a pinch for R/O water just let me know. I am in Medina as well and it could save you a wasted trip for waste water and on gas. I keep atleast 50 gallons on hand at all times.

Hi Mike - thanks for the offer, that is very kind of you. I will keep that in mind. As for the r/o water, it is down the drain so I will be going out to Hector's place.
