Well I went to the lfs a few weeks back and bought 2 clown gobies one yellow and another green. Well they settled in pretty good until I. Started to get good pe and growth out of my acros about 2 weeks ago. When this happened it was like a all you can eat buffet for the clown gobies.
The gobies would pic a acro to sit next to and wait for the polyps to extend and then they would pick off about 3 polyps each everytime they would attack. The bad thing about it they would'nt even eat the polyps they ripped off the acro, they would just spit them out and go back to the same thing. I would take my net and try to swat them away but it did no good. They would always come back and go completly nuts when the polyps would come back out. I spent about 3 hours yesterday trying to catch them and finally caught the little guys and put them in a smaller tank until I can find somewhere for them to go.
Since they are out of my tank the acros already looks way better.
I just figured i'd share my story with anyone who was thinking of buying a clown goby and also have acros in the tank already, beware they may be cute but they really are insane, rabid acro eating fish.
