Radion 30W pro vs Kessil AP700

Hey all,

I know there are a million threads on lighting but I have a short window unfortunately to make a decision. I was looking at the price of the Radions vs the Kessil LED lights, and just wanted your experience for one or the other. According to what I have found, for my new tank (going to be mixed) I would need 2 of the Radions but only one of the Kessil. 75gal 48x11x18. I would save a ton of money going Kessil, but would Radion be a better choice? Thanks!

I don't have any experience with the kessils but I have been a radion user since Gen1 and I really really like them. I have always liked that you could upgrade the units to the next generation except for the gen 3 to the new gen4 but really hoping they will have another upgrade for the next gen. I like the coloration under them and the adjustability. I'm sure the Kessils have many of if not all of the same options I'm sure someone will chime in and tell you about the kessils. Are you think the AP700 ?

Kessil AP700 is a Super Light. The spread and shimmer are the biggest reasons to buy this light. Also the Kessil Logic and the wifi control are great. IMHO the AP700 is the best LED fixture today, the G4 pro is a very close second but I prefer the Kessil for shimmer, spread, and coverage that the G4 can not compete with.

Also the color blending of the Kessil is near perfect. To the point that even with close observation you will not see any disco or separation with normal light configurations.

you should watch the new BRS review of the Radion G4's. I was very pleased with the numbers they got out of it.
