radion and apex

Yeah hopefully Neptune has been hinting at a nice surprise for the last week or so. I would love even simple things like a nighttime spying mode so I can tap a button on the iPhone or iPad app and have only the reds come on so I can spy on the nightlife, or just being able to change to daylight mode when guests are over and want to see the fish better all without having to plug in a USB cable and fire up a PC.
Ecotech has been hinting at a controller to do all the wireless stuff but it would be nice to have it all play nice with the Apex, especially considering the pumps are already there with the WMX It's always irked me that that my Ecotech pumps can be controlled by my Neptune iPhone app around the globe wirelessly but my crazy sophisticated LED lights using the same proprietary rf module can't do anything wirelessly via the Radions. It's kinda funny the pumps and lights can communicate with each other fine, the Apex with the WXM can control the pumps well beyond the capabilities of the controller they come with but the Apex can't do anything with the lights. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of this waiting game. ;)

I find it interesting, but I am not going to be willing to spend a lot if money on additional functionality that I don't necessarily need. I guess I am silly and like the existing functionality and control. This would have been great out of the box for programming, but now that I am set up u am not so sure. Hopefully this will be what a lot of people are looking for though.

Sorry for not responding. I just wanted to integrate the radion with the apex and be able to control it from the apex and not the software. But I I have decided not to go with the radion lights at all. The light was just not for me.

Check out Neptune Systems' face book post last Friday, then look at a popular reef blog that can't be mentioned here, but builds daily articles ;).

Looks like it could be a possibility in the future.

Can't find the Neptune page.
Nevermind... I got it.

Worm5406- I actually decided against LEDs all together, the other fixture I was really looking at that was LEDs was the kessil a360. It a sharp fixture and a great light and it would integrate nicely with my apex. I just didn't like the crazy shimmer it put off. I was totally blown away in a bad way, with the radion when I saw it in person. I thought maybe it was that one store but I visited many stores and I just did not like the color or how they mixed. That's my opinion. Others really like their radions and that's great. I just could not get past the disco ball effect that I could see. I decided to go back to t5's, specifically an 8 bulb ati dimmable unit.
