Radion and red carpet

i just got a 2nd red carpet today. surprise to find my old red carpet and new red carpet have a big different in color.
the old carpet i have about 1.5 years under radion the whole time.
i program the radion more on the yellow/white side try/hope to get the red stay red. i thought my old carpet was red til today compare to the new one. it must change color slowly overtime so i dont notice the color shift. the old one looks more red/pink compare to the new one is red/red. i know every carpets don't have the same color.
if you have red carpet under radion share your exp and your programming.
will post some pic tonight once the new guy settle in.

I just got a red haddoni over the weekend.

I have radion pro's.

So I am wanting to know also.

I can share my pics if you want, but it has only been in the tank for going on three days now.
 
I had a powder blue gig before it and my ritteri got to big and killed all my coral...I blame the anemone addiction. It started with tentacles that where all powder blue in color. A year and a half later the base and disc including half the tentacles had turned a dark tan and only the tips where powder blue. As they adjust to your tank and become more healthy there color will sometimes change.

I have to get my camera out here in a minute and try to take some of mine before it gets all blue in the tank.
 
as you can see the color are very big different

the small red carpet still trying to adjust to the new home. will see where it ends up tomorrow.

Very nice color, both of them. I don't think the color is due to LED light. I think their base color is different.
That is a 1000 dollars worth of anemone there. I would have QT that new anemone before put them together. I guess twice burned, the whole house each time, I am afraid of fire.

thanks, here's a pic of the old red carpet when i first got it. i took this pic of it after 2 days. now i look bad at the old pic, the old carpet was kinda red/pink. maybe i just jump the gun...:headwally:

the new red carpet's disc is yellow, the old one when i got it was white.
i watch them like a hawk, if any issue i will have QT up and start the cipro. i want to give it a chance to settle in.
 
I think the first one is kinda purplish red while the new one is more traditional red. That is how I see it.
 
So sorry to hear this.

That is so sad.

You can ship it this way and I will take care of the arrangements.
 
new pic of the new red carpet.
it has a yellow disc. don't know if that will stay. still attached to the rock, but it trying to move down to the sand.
 
2 days in a roll the new carpet, deflated and throw up some black "stuff".
just setup the QT tonight and fire the first treatment of cipro.
