Radion Cloud Cover

I've noticed that some hobbyists use varying degrees of cloud cover in their Radion schedules. For my education, what is the purpose?

The cloud cover feature in EcoSmart Live is designed to mimic a natural reef environment. Cloud cover will reduce the intensity of your Radion for a random period of time.

Basically its just a cool feature to have you can also do thunderstorm but i only got away with it once before the wife said absolutely NOT

LOL. My wife said the thunderstorm feature would be good if we ever had a rave in the living room!

If the thunderstorm feature had audio to go with the visual, I would be all about it. But It doesn't so I never use it.

The EcoSmart Live app will create thunder sounds when entering a storm.

Well Its not sunny 100% of the time anywhere. And obviously storms happen. What the point of sound is is beyond me
