About 2 weeks in on my purchase of my new light. I have to say overall I am impressed. I have already noticed an increase in health and well being of not just the corals but the tank as a whole. Corals already seem to show signs of growth and the little bit of nuisance algae I had has disappeared. also see an increase in feeder tentacles as the blues increase at the end of the night.

What I bought from HD to hang the light didn't work out the way I would have like and being that I have no patience and needed the light hung the night I received it, I opted for the next best thing.. zip ties

Did you try hanging wire? HD sells it. Would look much nicer than your hopefully temporary setup.

Hanging wire is what I bought from HD.. unfortunately since the roof over the tank is slanted it is next to impossible to get the light hung without it being cocked or not level... the zip ties let me adjust it so easily it was a no brainer. Eventually Ill come up with something more official.

Hmm, the hanging wires I bought have an adjustable "hinge" that has a screw on it. It allows me to tilt it forward to compensate for the weight of the wires on the back. I would imagine that would solve your dilemma?

I like the Radion's new generation lights.....that being said...I don't know if I could sleep at night with zip ties holding the fixture above open water.....scary.
