Radion G4 fan question

Is the G4 fan supposed to be constantly whirling (seemingly at the same speed)? It's not terribly loud, but it's audible and constant, even at night when the lights are off. This is true of both of the G4 I own. Did I do something wrong with the settings?

The fans run constantly - even at night when the lights are off...?

This is normal functionality, but I have noticed it increases evaporation rates.

To eliminate the issue, you can put the lights on an Apex outlet and shut that outlet off after your lighting schedule is completed and turn the outlet back on before your lights start to power up.

But why would the fans fun constantly 24/7 - even at night when they are off...?

That makes no sense...

asked ecotech about this on my gen2 and they said fans are supposed to fun 24/7 .. think of it as more room for kalk.
