Radion Placement Questions

Hi everyone, I currently have a 250G Marineland DD tank. I have four radion G2s over my tank hug like in figure A. However the longer I observe my tank I have started to wonder if I should have hung them differently. I apologize for my lack of drawing skills but I think it should suffice to get my point across.

What would be better A or B?

B looks like it would be better for yours. Try it and see if it looks better. Worse case you don't like it and switch them back.

sea,

A Radion will provide the same amount of spread however you have them oriented. That being said, I think both layouts will work great for your aquarium.

I would go with A
In A each Radion only needs cover a 18" x 30" area.
In B each Radion needs to cover a 15" x 36" area

I get good coverage with a single Radion in a 30" long tank, but I'm not sure how good the coverage would be when you have 36" that needs coverage.

Having said that I would be interested in seeing someones testing results in what kind of par we would get, in wider, longer tanks.

Since Alex said the spread would be approximately the same, regardless of the orientation, I would go with B for the following reasons:
1. Easier maintenance; you are not reaching over one light to get to the light behind it.
2. Less cord clutter, as all the cords will be running parallel to one another.
