Radion price drop.

Making my decision harder.
I was thinking about waiting on the Hydra 52 but now the Radion Pro has dropped to $749.

They are making the Reeflink which sounds nice.
Both have the very low spectrum that I would like to have.
Anyone in the same boat?

What exactly does a Radion do at night connected to a Vortech?
Just lower flow at night?

I was looking at the Hydra 52 too for my 65 gallon, went with Build My LED instead

the ecotechs do have some cool features. but i have heard complaints about software isssues. i still think the pro is over priced. if it was 600$ i would say go for it. and the G2 should be 500$ and the G1 300$. JUST my opinion. but there is still better options then 750$ for a pro.

I don't follow ecotech close but there is normally only a few reasons for the price drop on a mapped product.

A. Ecotech is not selling enough and need to adjust for competitors product/price.

Or

B. Ecotech has another product release coming. (Next best)


I am guessing the later of the two.
The only time they have adjusted (that I've seen) is after the release of next gen.
Wouldn't surprise me if say maybe a larger unit is coming.


Anyone have any input on this?

i have the razor and im super happy with it. and honestly i almost bought the pro after i got an email from BRS about the 150$ off. im wondering why the price drop. im calling ecotech tomorrow anyway ill see if i can get the DL. I would buy the pro if it was 600$. its jsut toomuch. after having LED though im wanting something with more control, although i am happy. too bad i got the mp non wireless. only need one on my 45 gal.

My guess would be A. The Pro was way overpriced for what is offered, and still is overpriced at $750. The Vegas were nearly half price, but did lack in some spectrum. The hydra52 looks to be a great light, and is still priced lower than the Radion Pro.

I would need two radion pros just for my 65gal. For this reason I will never get this insanely overpriced fixture.

This is a fantastic fixture and if I was on the fence I would jump on it at this price!
