Radion/T5 hybrid schedule

I have a 4ft 120g and had 4 radion Gen3 pros with wide angle lenses. Lighting even but intensity adjustments was sensitive/powerful. I decided to take down one G3 Pro and now have 3 G3 Pro and added 2 bulb T5 ati blue+ retro kit on front and back.

My question is with the ati blue+ do I run them the entire main light schedule?
I'm currently running them 4 hours at the peak of the LED schedule, just little confused.

It really depends on what percentage your running the radions at, how long, and what corals you have....also height of all the lights.

EcoTech Marine has been running these studies in on coral health, growth, and coloration under artificial lighting. The name is a little unimaginative -- Coral Lab -- So far to get the best balance of coral growth, coloration, and overall health you load up their Coral Lab template. Their template is 18k spectrum at whatever intensity you want. No fluctuations, no crazy high/low par times. 18k, 8 hours.

Run your T5's as long as you run the Radions. No crazy silly timing necessary.

If you're frying your SPS with your radions already turn 'em down. I can guarantee you'll get better results with all 4 Radions. Just turn them down to a reasonable intensity -- Keep the T5's too. Once I added T5 my SPS started growing immediately.

I've got a single XR15 over a 20x16x14 with wide optics, 18k spectrum for 8 hours, @75% intensity -- PLUS, 2x24w T5. No issues with coral health. They can handle more.

Many people with Radions seem to have trouble getting their corals to take higher intensity, maybe it's because they're on the ULNS side of the nutrient spectrum.

I have 5 radions with wide angle lenses over a 6ft tank, with 4 t5 bulbs (2 blue+, 2 coral+) I run the t5 for 6 hours a day in the middle of my lighting radion schedule. Its a custom schedule with the peak at 2.00 and I run them 3 hours each side of that.

I have 2x radions over a 48x24 with four 54w tubes (2 front, 2 back). The radions run a 1.5hr ramp up to a 7 hour flat peak 20k profile, followed by a 2 hour ramp down to blues. The T5's are on for the 7 hour peak

I'm considering adding 2 48" T5 to the existing 3 radio G3 on my 54" tank running for 5 months slow growth.

How are people liking this LED T5 combination?

Tank focus is community with a bias to SPS.
