Radion XR15w canopy/light blocker

I am looking into upgrading my lighting. Currently I have a Fluval Evo 13.5G stock lights plus some Current USA light strips all housed inside the tanks stock canopy/hood. If I go with a Radion XR15w G4 Pro I will be removing the hood and using the Echotck XR15 mount to mount the light. The problem is I absolutely hate the light glare this will create and this is why I prefer tanks with hoods that block this. This is my home office tank that is on my desk and my eye level will be blow the light so the light is going to hit my eyes.

Is there a solution to this? I don't really want to do a DIY canopy thingy. Thanks.

A couple different ways to go about this.
One you could always make a short light shade out of plastic/acrylic, maybe 3"-4" wide and use a double sided tape to stick it to the side of the Radion. You would only have to do the side that faces you as you sit at your desk.
Or you could try the new diffuser.
I put them on my gen 4 XR30's and it does block some of the side glare I get when I look at my tank sitting on my couch.

Probably nothing is going to be perfect, but we adapt

Thanks mfinn, the diffuser might be an option. It's strange that no one makes aftermarket addons to solve this problem. People seem to be ok getting that high powered light flashed in their eyes all the time.
