Rainbow Paly Question

I found what i believe to be the rainbow paly hitchiked on some other coral at my lfs. so naturally i picked it up.

The thing is, after about a couple weeks in my tank, it seemed like green area was expanding and the more pinkish part on the outside of the paly was slowly dissappearing.. why is that? it was in a lower light area, so i put it up higher in the light.. is that a smart or dumbo move? they are very healthy and still growing but i cant get that pink to come out anymore. can any rainbow paly owners share their experience? do yours stay rainbow all the time? maybe mine are just loser palys=/

I find they can be color spectrum sensitive... I know under certain lighting some of the colors don't stand out as much... That may be all you are experiencing...

which spectrums have u found to bring it out the most? i have a couple different blubs in my setup(s) that i can move it around in. Thanks for your help

I have mine under 6-54w T5s. I believe my setup is 3 blue+, 1 daylight, 2 actinic+. Here is how they look.

I found the green began to take over and moved them to the side of my tank with a screen over it, my zoo and LPS side. Went right back to normal in a few days.
