Just bought these shrooms :D They should arrive by Friday!

They are very nice. Did they tell you what kind of lighting they were under? I know that can make a real difference hopefully they will retain all those great colors. Be sure to post another pic.

Yumas tend to be temperamental at least in my limited experience. I'll start out with low/moderate lighting then see if they will stretch for the light or remain at ease as is. Will keep you posted.

I assume you meant rhodactis, right?

Those are truly beautiful and a great find. Probably cost a fortune on eBay. I've been looking at shrooms on there and the shipping alone is enough to completely turn me off to buying them there :(

I think I speak for just about everyone here.... let us know if you decide to frag them ever ;)

"I assume you meant rhodactis"

Oops I thought yuma and rhodactic were the same. Goes to show I still have plenty to learn about these beautiful creatures and their proper terminology.

Expensive but not as bad as a few of my recent ebay purchases. Got 4 of these beauties for $50.00. Mounted on what appears to be a single 5 inch staghorn coral finger. This should make it easy to mount anyplace.

Shipping cost is just plain horrible at $45.00. But in this case since I got these at such a great price it sort of ballanced out.

That isn't a bad price at all. If I were you I would take two of the 4 and use those to propagate more of these beautiful mushrooms. Then you can trade them for more rare species, or sell them to recoup some of the cost.

If you have a second tank I'd also consider putting one of them in there, just incase your main tank crashes. It would be horrible to lose them all.

Just some thoughts... :D

Great ideas all around! Yep we shouldn't leave all our best eggs in the same basket. Fortunately I am setting up my fish room with several tanks and dedicated grow out tank. So I'll be splitting up my collections.

Thanks!

sweet shroom man, if you prop these out, put me on the list for one!

BIG SCOTT

So far so good, they made it through. But now they will need a little time before they'll color back to their original form. Certainly I will let you guys know if and when they are ready for fragging. Thanks for the good words! :)
